PMCs somewhere in S. America(?)
Nice pic. Army’s air force operators move to an extreme day, flying over coca plantations in the jungle defended by well equiped and trained leftist guerrillas.
Looks like Nam. Not Nam, is actually Colombia. Police troops devoted to coca and cocaine search and destroy. Comandos Jungla patrolling somewhere, enemy must be waiting around to ambush. Those policemen are the good guys, real life everyday heroes who fight against cocaine druglords. Bravo.
Bombarded cocaine camp. Here a colombian army patrol, recovers intelligence and dead bodies after an airstrike performed by succesfull Embraer Tucano. Colombias military have implemented a very succesful strategy against left druglords FARC and ELN. First a team devoted to localize high value assets such commandants, infiltrate and collect intelligence as extense as possible in order to position target’s coordinates. This task is done by police, or infantry. Once the location in the jungle is traced, Air Force strikes the camp with 400 pounds bombs. At the same time Army’s counter insurgency deploys forces by helicopter in order to cope the camp, get prisioners, dead bodies and intelligence. As many as 100 high rank criminals have been neutralized this way. Comparable just with drone operations in Afghanistan and IDF strikes against its enemies. In fact these operation was implemented with israeli expertise.
Dogs are wide used by colombian army in war against druglords, due to the widespread practice of landmining by leftist guerrillas. Jungles are so landmined that even FARC and ELN are current victims of their own land mines. Those criminal organizations are by far, number one landminer in the world, far ahead of Taliban, or African warlords.
